Amon Goeth (Ralph Fiennes, I am referring to Ralph every time I say Amon) will be featured twice in this list, because there are really two different Amon Goeths in this film. The one we will be discussing now molds the Evil Nazi Archetype. Yes, Amon Goeth was a bad guy, thats not debatable he did terrible things, but what makes him so persistent when thinking of the Nazis, and Evil Nazis. Well in most media up until Schindler's List the Holocaust was relatively untouched vs. nowadays where there is an Oscar Bait film every few years. Click here for more on that topic!. Amon Goeth for most of the feature film is shown to us as a horrific, relentless, emotionless, sociopath who kills for entertainment. Just the GIF above is a scene from the film where Amon sits on his balcony of his newly built villa, and shoots the Jews in the Plaszow concentration camp. Amon Goeth is a ruthless leader who is undoubtedly considered the Evil Nazi because; in one of his opening scenes he shoots a woman engineer, he snipes an elderly Jew, he beats his maid, and shoots countless other Jews. His attack and hatred against of the Jews in the film are incredibly strong and use the maximum amount of force.
Amon is the perfect embodiment of the Evil Archetype, however, he is not necessarily the only one. There are Evil Nazis in almost any World War 2 film, and its important to think of Schindler's List as a revolutionary film that changes many Hollywood perceptions of WW2 and the Holocaust. By portraying two different Nazis, one being a member of the Nazi party, Oskar Schindler, who is still a Nazi, and the other being Amon.
